  In a world so sick, with social and political problems such as Corruption, racism, school shootings and the emptiness of the fame which so many strive for Grandson in the voice we need. The American-Canadian singer is a straight forward, no bullshit lyricist in a time when its needed most and Modern Tragedy Vol. 3 is no exception to this. Back in 2004 there was a whirlwind of genres topping the charts, hip-hop, punk, nu-metal, pop, EDM and everything in between. Indie music was on the rise, feeding off of the post punk revival and Brit-pop revolution. And The Killers used this to their advantage. Combining elements from Rock and Brit-pop, Brandon Flowers and crew capitalised on the range of genres topping charts to come out above it all, even making a song that hovers around the Top 50 even 16 years later.
